Set on the owners’ dairy farm, through which the canal towpath runs, it is just 5 miles from Delamere Forest, with Go Ape and cycle hire, and 7 miles from Chester’s smart shopping, zoo, Roman walks and river trips. Liverpool’s Albert Dock, the Mersey Ferry, Llandudno and Manchester are under an hour’s drive. Shops 2 miles, farm shop and dining pub within 1 mile.

Two bedrooms both ensuite. Spacious open plan sitting room with oak floor, patio doors overlooking river, dining area and fitted kitchen. Double bedroom with 5' bed and ensuite shower room/WC. Twin bedded room with additional pull out bed (for + child) and ensuite bathroom/WC and separate shower cubicle.

I would definitely recommend this holiday to others, and already have to family and friends. We had a thoroughly enjoyable time and the cottage is beautiful, we will definitely be returning in the future and look forward to it. Lovely, peaceful and very tranquil setting. Couldn't have asked for more just for the wind to have died down slightly but it sure didn't ruin the break. The owners were very welcoming and helpful.

Cheshire is a surprisingly rural county, ideal for an escape to the countryside, as you’ll discover on a break in one of our holiday cottages in Cheshire. There’s plenty of good walking in the Delamere Forest and across the Cheshire plain. The historic city of Chester also makes a great day out. It was founded by the Romans who were the original architects of the city walls that still surround the cathedral on two sides. Don’t miss the Roman Amphitheatre nor the ornate Chester Rows, an unusual series of buildings with shops on two levels – perhaps the first shopping mall in England!
Our holiday cottages in Cheshire are also within easy reach of the golden triangle, the affluent area around Alderley Edge, Knutsford, Wlmslow and Prestbury. A favourite with footballers, there are some excellent restaurants in the vicinity. For something completely different, visit Quarry Bank Mill in Styal, an old cotton mill, now transformed into a living museum of the old cotton industry. Meanwhile, railway enthusiasts will enjoy a visit to Crewe, once the centre of the British Railway industry. And don’t forget, you’re also an easy drive from Liverpool, European Capital of Culture for 2008.
